On the 1st March 1999, I reported for work to Michael Ragg, shop manager at Berry Bros & Rudd, 3 St James’s Street, London SW1. It’s fair to say that this was a career move that changed my life, and one that made me who I am in terms of what I do for a living, how I do it, and what I write about.
Twenty years later to the day I met Mr Ragg, again in St James’s, on my first day as part of the team at Mischief and Mayhem.
Mischief and Mayhem is a small domaine and boutique négociant based in Aloxe-Corton. The first vintage proper was 2004. I have known the wines from the start and, when asked over a glass of wine if I might be interested in becoming part of the team, my mind was made up before I’d taken my next sip.
More information on Mischief and Mayhem can be found by clicking on the picture below. I would be delighted to tell you more about the wines and, of course, to supply some. If this has appeal then please do get in touch.
